We are blessed to be a small part of the apostolic mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, whose mission is to work with the poor & homeless, and to evangelize. One of the ways in which the Sisters carry out this critical work is by operating a soup kitchen in the heart of Spanish Harlem. Every Saturday, many hungry New Yorkers walk through the doors of their Soup Kitchen. They come to get a warm nutritious meal, and companionship. We volunteer by greeting guests, cooking, serving food, and cleaning. One of the most important things we do is treat the guests with dignity and respect. Sign up and make a difference today!
Join the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in serving their neighbors through their soup kitchen in East Harlem on Saturday, July 21, 10am–2pm.
Location: Our Lady Queen of Angels Convent, 232 E 113th St. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. Spots are limited; RSVP is required.
