CFR SISTERS’ FOOD PANTRY

Frassati Fellowship is helping the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal serve many families in need of groceries. This month, we need volunteer drivers who can help with grocery shopping at Restaurant Depot in the Bronx and then deliver the groceries to the CFR Sisters in Harlem. If you would like to be a volunteer driver, you need to be able to lift heavy objects, such as 20 pound bags of rice, and have your own car to meet us at Restaurant Depot at 9 am. We're also looking for food pantry volunteers who can help us sort and organize groceries. Food pantry volunteers can meet us at 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Angels Convent. When we're finished volunteering, we will have the opportunity to pray with the Sisters and to have some fellowship!

Join Frassati Fellowship in assisting the Sisters! We will be organizing donated groceries and clothes, and helping around the soup kitchen as needed. Afterward, we will have the opportunity to pray with the Sisters. Come join us!

Those who are served by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal are in special need of groceries, and the Frassati Fellowship is assisting the Sisters by coordinating volunteers to help with grocery shopping. We are looking for volunteer drivers who can drive to Restaurant Depot in the Bronx, help with grocery shopping, and deliver the items to the CFR Sisters in Harlem. If you would like to volunteer, you need a car and to be able to lift heavy objects (such as 20 pound bags of rice).
We will meet at Restaurant Depot in the Bronx at 9am, shop, and deliver the groceries at Our Lady Queen of Angels Convent in Harlem by 12pm. Volunteers also have the option to end the afternoon with Adoration at OLQA Church at 12:30pm.

CLOTHING DONATION COLLECTION: SUNDAY, AUG. 9

The Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal have been serving many families throughout this difficult time and they need our help to able to continue to serve them. The poor men and women served by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal are in especial need of clothes and toiletries, and the Frassati Fellowship is assisting the Sisters by collecting them. We are asking for your donations. Please bring family sized toiletries, new men's socks, new or gently used pants/jeans for men (mostly sizes 34-38, but sizes 30-44 are also needed), and new packages of undergarments for women of all sizes. We will collect them before the Mass with Father Malachy in the back of the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer and before our Holy Hour by the side entrance on 66th Street and Lexington Avenue.

Soup Kitchen Volunteering: Saturday, MaRCH 21
We are blessed to be a small part of the apostolic mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, whose mission is to work with the poor & homeless, and to evangelize. One of the ways in which the Sisters carry out this critical work is by operating a soup kitchen in the heart of Spanish Harlem. Every Saturday, many hungry New Yorkers walk through the doors of their Soup Kitchen. They come to get a warm nutritious meal, and companionship. We volunteer by greeting guests, cooking, serving food, and cleaning. One of the most important things we do is treat the guests with dignity and respect. Sign up and make a difference today!
Join the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in serving their neighbors through their soup kitchen in East Harlem from 10:30am–2pm on the third Saturday of every month.
