Jesus Run

In this Year of Mercy, come and join us as we serve the poor on the streets of New York City on Friday, August 26th. We'll meet at the Rectory of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to prepare one hundred peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to serve the poor on our Jesus Run.

You must bring a backpack to carry things to distribute. Please also bring either some peanut butter, jelly, sandwich bags, bread and/or optional religious articles and hand sanitizer to distribute, as well as a few dollars to contribute for bottled water.

7:00pm - 7:30pm - Evening prayer
7:30pm - Prepare food and backpacks, make one hundred peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 8:30pm - Leave for Jesus Run around Penn Station
9:30pm - Reconvene at the end of the night to recap and say a final prayer

What to bring:
- backpack (required) 
- peanut butter (plastic jar)
- jelly (plastic jar)
- sandwich bags
- bread
- money for bottled water
Optional: small bottles of hand sanitizer (to give away), any religious objects to distribute (e.g. rosaries, prayer cards, Divine Mercy cards, Miraculous Medals)

Location: Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 457 W 51st Street, New York, NY (Buzz the rectory, up the stairs at the red door)
