Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in Turin, Italy on the eve of Easter on April 6, 1901.
What a joy for Alfredo and Adelaide (Pier Giorgio's parents) to hold their new baby boy and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! Throughout his life Bl. Pier Giorgio has brought much happiness to all those around him- his family, his friends, the poor and sick of Turin. He was loved by many. Bl. Pier Giorgio cared deeply about making sure his loved ones knew he thought of them and prayed for them on their birthdays. On Bl. Pier Giorgio's birthday lets pray for his canonization and in thanksgiving for the bonds of friendship that came through his intercession!
