Blessed Pier Giorgio was a model for all of us. He was a devout practicing Catholic who loved the Eucharist, prayer, the great outdoors, ministering to the sick and to the poor, and evangelizing through true friendship. At his beatification ceremony, Pope John Paul II called Pier Giorgio a “man of the beatitudes.” Pier Giorgio passed away on July 4, 1925 after contracting polio.
