Hiking and Outdoors
hike: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Join the Frassati Fellowship for our latest fall hike at Wappinger Greenway Trail! This is a moderate difficulty hike featuring panoramic views of the Hudson River and beautiful forest scenery.
We will meet for early morning mass and breakfast, and drive up along the Hudson to the trailhead. We will eat our lunches on the trail and have time set aside for reveling in the beauty of God's creation as well as some low-pressure group prayer. After the hike, we will have dinner together at nearby local establishment and return to the city.

PAST EVENT: FRASSATI BIKING: SATURDAY, OCTober 28
Join Frassati Fellowship for a patriotic bike outing on the Lower West Side of the City! This is an easy ride – we will take the West Side bike path down to Battery Park and picnic with a view of Lady Liberty. If you haven’t been on a bike in awhile, or do not like biking with traffic, this ride is perfect for you. As it is a Saturday, this ride will not start too early. After the ride, we'll head to a Saturday evening Mass. It will be a short ride down to Battery Park, where we will have a late picnic lunch in view of the Statue of Liberty, and then return. Depending on interest/time before Mass, the ride may then extend farther up along the Hudson River. If you need to rent a bike, we can assist with that, and provide a discount! All abilities of bikers are welcome for this leisurely ride.
PAST EVENT: BIKE & PICNIC: July 29
Share your good spirits on a bike ride! Frassati Recreation is hosting a day biking event. Please note: This is not a triathlon training event, but a fun bike ride.
Don’t have a bike? Frassati has teamed up with Unlimited Biking to get you a discount – one hour free! This ride will be 2-3 hours long, so there will be a rental cost (~$15-20 with the discount) if you need to rent a bike. Please register by July 22 if you need to rent a bike – your confirmation email will contain more details on that process.
The ride will start on the Hudson River Greenway, and then over to Central Park, where we will do the full loop, starting from the top. If you sign up for this ride, you must be comfortable biking in the street (mostly bike lanes) for a portion of the ride. (If you are not comfortable biking on the street, stay tuned – we hope to have other rides later in the summer/early fall).
After returning bike rentals, we’ll picnic in the north part of the park for lunch. More details on what to bring/meeting locations will be sent to those who register.
