Soup Kitchen Volunteering: Saturday, June 3rd
We are blessed to be a small part of the apostolic mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, whose mission is to work with the poor & homeless, and to evangelize. One of the ways in which the Sisters carry out this critical work is by operating a soup kitchen in the heart of Spanish Harlem. Every Saturday, many hungry New Yorkers walk through the doors of their Soup Kitchen. They come to get a warm nutritious meal, and companionship. We volunteer by greeting guests, cooking, serving food, and cleaning. One of the most important things we do is treat the guests with dignity and respect. Sign up and make a difference today!
Join the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in serving their neighbors through their soup kitchen in East Harlem on Saturday, June 3rd, 10 AM–2 PM.

Easter is celebrating Jesus' victory over death and mankind's hope for eternal life. Join us for a volunteer workday with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. We will be doing various work projects in St. Crispin and St. Anthony’s shelter in preparation for the celebration of the Lord’s Resurrection. The Saint Anthony Shelter for Renewal is dedicated to the ongoing work of renewal of the whole person. The Shelter is a safe haven for single men over 18 who are homeless in the New York metropolitan area, and who are personally committed to taking the necessary steps for healing and recovery. We will begin our day with Holy Mass. Our day will include corporeal nourishment (snacks/lunch), confession and fellowship.

Past Event: Service Day with the Sisters of Life
Frassati Fellowship of NYC is proud to serve in many capacities. One that we value highly is assisting the Sisters of Life, albeit in a small way, with their mission at Sacred Heart of Jesus Convent in Manhattan. They have provided pregnant women an opportunity to be nurtured as they live side-by-side with Sisters, immersed in a deeply spiritual setting. This “spiritual tent” allows women a place to rest, to get their feet on the ground again and to grow in their authentic identity as women and mothers. After giving birth, guests are invited to remain at Sacred Heart for about another six months to plan and prepare for a new beginning with their child. The Sisters seek to serve those women most vulnerable to the pressure of abortion. We as a fellowship volunteer our time by undertaking various small projects such as general cleaning, organizing closets (where many donations are housed), moving furniture, wrapping gifts, etc. Corporeal nourishment (snacks/lunch) and spiritual nuggets are provided. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Service Day with the Sisters. If you have any question please feel free to email us at email@example.com.
